Exact Path is solid, some hiccups

We implemented Exact Path this past semester for intervention programs. It's been really helpful for identifying student needs and the personalized learning paths are great. My only minor issue was getting all the student data imported smoothly at the very beginning. Took a bit longer than I expected, but once it was set up, it worked well. Overall, a good tool for our school.

Absolutely love Study Island!

We've been using Study Island for test prep and it's fantastic! The students are actually engaged, and it really helps them grasp those tricky concepts. The reporting features are super useful for tracking progress. Our teachers are so happy with it. It's made a huge difference in our state test scores. We will definitely continue with this program next year and recommend it to anyone looking for effective practice!

Good for our students

We got Courseware for our district and it's been pretty good. The kids seem to like it, and it makes my job a bit easier organizing lessons. The support team helped us with setup which was nice.

Ordering Base Education, delivery, and support

I was involved in getting Base Education set up for our alternative learning program. The ordering process was straightforward; we requested a quote online and their sales rep got back to us within a couple of days with pricing options for our student count. Implementation took about two weeks from contract signing to full student access, which included some initial training sessions for our teachers. The digital textbooks integrated well, and the professional development they offered really helped our staff get comfortable with the platform quickly. We had a couple of questions about customization for special education support, and their customer service team was responsive and helpful, guiding us through the options. The quality of the course content has been consistently good, and the students find the interface easy to navigate.

Great value on new curriculum

Our school needed new K-12 Curriculum and we were looking for the best deal. After requesting a demo and talking to their sales team, we managed to get a really good package for several of their products, including Calvert Learning and their Assessment Solutions. The multi-year contract discount really made it affordable for our budget. It felt like we got a lot for our money, which is important for a smaller district like ours.

Hey, I'm a parent wondering if I can buy a subscription for my kid. Like for Exact Path or something similar? The site seems geared towards schools.

T Todd Brooks 1 month ago
Nah, pretty sure you can't. It's all B2B basically, for districts and schools. I tried looking into it for my son last year and it's not set up for individual parent purchases.

You're right, I asked them once. They only sell to schools and districts, not directly to parents. It's more of an institutional thing.

Thinking of Edmentum for our district. How does their Courseware compare to what Imagine Learning offers?

D Dana 1 month ago
From what I've seen, Edmentum has a much wider range of AP and CTE courses. Imagine Learning is good but feels more focused on core K-8 stuff.

Yeah, I think Edmentum's digital textbooks and instructional services are more comprehensive. Imagine Learning is strong in certain areas, but Edmentum feels more like a full-service platform for a whole district.

Anyone know if Edmentum offers free trials for schools? My principal wants to test out some of the curriculum first.

T Troy K. 2 months ago
Yup, they definitely do. We did a pilot program for our high school last year before committing to a bigger contract. Just gotta request a demo.

Yeah, pretty sure they're big on demos and pilot programs. They'll work with you to try it out. They don't do 'coupon codes' but these trials are like their version of trying before you buy.

Is it true they don't have coupon codes? I was hoping to find one for a small school district.

T Todd 2 months ago
Nope, no coupon codes like you'd find for consumer stuff. It's all negotiated pricing based on school size and what you need. My district got a discount because we signed a multi-year deal.

Yeah, they don't do traditional coupons. You'll need to talk to their sales team for any kind of 'deal.' They do offer things like volume discounts or if you're a non-profit.

How do their assessment tools compare to Renaissance Learning or Savvas? Looking for something that really helps with student diagnostics.

D Derek 1 month ago
Edmentum's Exact Path is pretty good for diagnostics and personalized learning paths, which Renaissance also does well. I'd say Edmentum feels a bit more integrated with their curriculum though.

We used Savvas before switching to Edmentum. I found Edmentum's diagnostic tools, especially for K-8, to be more actionable for teachers. It connects really well to their intervention programs.
